"I have had thousands of generations behind me. Ceramics is timeless. Sometimes when I make ceramics, I have the feeling that I am in contact with many masters of the past. The emptiness and the space is the essence of ceramics. To me, the great emptiness is a cosmic concept of Zen. Making ceramics means wrapping clay around nothingness."
